Virtual Human Technologies’ mission is to help avatars help people.
Virtual Human Technologies was founded by Kris as he transitioned from a research career to the business world in 2013. Having researched at the conjunction of CS, Psychology, and Neuroscience, he saw an opportunity for creating VR tools for research and for helping people. The flagship product, Virtual Orator, was born of this. The company develops and uses the custom AI, i.e. Virtual Humans, to populate worlds to help people and researchers.

Virtual Orator provides targeted scenarios for every public speaking training need. Kris started developing it in 2013, when it was clear that the Oculus would actually be developed and the hope of mainstream VR looked like it would happen.
Virtual Orator was the application Kris wishes he had had when he was forced to overcome a deep fear of public speaking and the application he still uses when preparing for speaking.

Kris has a PhD in Computer Science, specialized in Virtual Orator. He has published more than 30 research papers in the field. He published the book “Dynamic Interactive Virtual Environments”.
Kris has worked as a consultant on projects for the European Space Agency (ESA) as part of his consulting work at Misterine.
Kristopher J Blom is a Public Speaker
Kris has done public speaking on the topic of Virtual Reality. He’s spoken to small groups and halls of 100s. His most prestigious presentation was to the NATO Council of Commandants.
His most challenging presentation was when he had the bright idea of presenting in German and at the same time the display of his laptop stopped working, meaning he couldn’t’ see his slides at all in that venue. A lesson learned on needing better preparation.

When his young son wanted to get a particular mobile game that involved shooting and was also not like the ad represented anyway, Kris just coded a game on the same principle. This is how “Math Gate” was born.
Race through the game with simple mathematical choices. Sprint is the first mode, with more to come like drag race, parachute, and 101.
